12th CASSINI Hackathon: EU Space for Peace and Resilience

What if your idea could help make Europe safer?

Join the 12th CASSINI Hackathon in Prague for an intense 48-hour innovation experience where space technology meets real-world challenges. Bring your creativity, team up with ambitious minds, and discover how European satellite data can help protect people, strengthen security, and build a more resilient future.

You don’t need to be a space expert or an experienced programmer. Whether you’re a developer, designer, entrepreneur, student, or simply someone with a bold idea, this is your chance to turn innovation into impact.

Three challenges. One mission.

1. Cybersecurity for Space-Based Strategic Enablers

>> How can we protect critical services from cyberattacks and disruptions? Use data and signals from Europe’s space programme to identify anomalies, verify satellite signals, and strengthen the cybersecurity and resilience of essential infrastructure.

2. Space-Enabled Crisis Response and Civil Resilience

>> When crises strike, every second counts. Develop innovative solutions using satellite imagery and navigation data to assess damage, improve emergency response, plan routes for people and supplies, and protect critical civilian infrastructure.

3. Countering Transnational Crime and Terrorism with Space Data

>> Can space technology help detect threats before they cross borders? Explore how satellite data can support border monitoring, identify suspicious patterns and potential smuggling routes, and strengthen Europe’s ability to respond to cross-border crime and terrorism.

All three challenges invite you to explore the potential of European space technologies, including Copernicus Earth observation data and Galileo satellite navigation.

Over the hackathon weekend, you’ll get the opportunity to:

>> Learn new skills through technical training and expert-led sessions.

>> Find your people by connecting with developers, designers, entrepreneurs, and industry experts.

>> Build a solution with mentoring and support to develop your idea and business model.

Compete for prizes and the opportunity to advance to the European competition, with additional cash prizes and expert mentoring.

No experience? No problem.

>> You can participate inpidually or bring your own team. You don’t need previous experience with space technologies, and coding skills aren’t a requirement. We welcome perse perspectives, fresh ideas, and people who want to make a difference.

Join the CASSINI Hackathon and help shape the future of European security and resilience. Bring your curiosity, challenge the status quo, and turn space data into solutions that matter.

Your idea. European space technology. Real-world impact.
